Since Yamaha was kind enough to revamp the FJR1300 for 2013, we thought it was high time to see how it stacked up against the Honda ST1300 and Kawasaki Concours 14 in a sport-touring shootout. The 1300A got an overdrive sixth gear at last, as well as better suspension, new clocks, and LED headlights, as well as a new slip/assist clutch. The AE had all that, plus electronically adjustable suspension (with upside down forks), and cornering headlights. The AS takes the same spec as the AE but with the clutchless gearbox.
The fjr also has a 26k mile valve adjustment interval, which is a plus if you put alot of miles. For the style of riding i do, the st1300 fits me great. It's comfortable, fast enough and looks great. It doesn't handle the best, its kind of like steering a big ship. The st1300, its a honda. Has a cool engine.
